Phoenix Futures recruits Marion Logan as new Director of Operations Scotland"
On 29th June Marion Logan will take up her new post as Director of Operations Scotland for leading drug and alcohol charity Phoenix Futures.
Marion has worked in the drug and alcohol field since 1987 in both statutory and voluntary drug services. She has been involved in designing and developing services and contributing to the writing and implementation of local, regional and national action plans.
Marion was the co-ordinator of Forth Valley Substance Action Team before going on to a 14-month secondment at the Scottish Executive where she was responsible for the development of the monitoring and implementation framework for the National Quality Standards for Substance Misuse Services.
Recently Marion has been working as the Operations Manager for STRADA (Scottish Training for Drugs and Alcohol), the leading workforce development organisation in Scotland supporting those working with and affected by alcohol and substance misuse issues.
Marion is an honours graduate of the University of Glasgow with postgraduate qualifications including the Diploma in Alcohol Studies and the Certificate in Education (Adult and Continuing Education).
Marion commented, "I am delighted to be joining Phoenix Futures at what is one of the most challenging and demanding times within the drug field. I believe that not only do we really need to demonstrate that recovery is possible for those affected by problematic drug use but that Phoenix Futures has both the opportunity and the staff to promote this more widely and with greater impact in Scotland that ever before."

Phoenix Futures is a leading provider of services for people with drug and alcohol problems. We offer services within community, prison and residential settings in England and Scotland.
Phoenix Futures provides a range of community, structured day and resettlement services across Scotland and a residential Therapeutic Community service in Glasgow. We provide drug and alcohol services throughout the Scottish prison estate and are the sole providers of the Scottish Prison Service Enhanced Addiction Casework Services. We also work in partnership to provide Progress2Work and community based employability services.
