Our Residential Services
![]()

We are the foremost provider of residential rehabilitation in the UK. We provide adult rehabilitation for men and women aged 18+ and unique family services for parents with children aged up to 11. Our residents present with some of the most severe problems and complex needs, and they also make some of the greatest treatment gains.
Our established adult residential rehabilitation services run a Therapeutic Community programme.
Therapeutic Community
Participation in the therapeutic community programme helps to promote change by encouraging self-worth and personal responsibility, challenging individual attitudes and behaviour, and encouraging the development of life and social skills.
The therapeutic community model is a recognised, effective way of treating people with drug and alcohol dependencies through three key stages; induction, primary phase and senior stage. We also support residents with reintegration back into the community following treatment and attending out resettlement service is an option.
As residents progress through the three stages they are given increased responsibility for the running of the service and for their peers.
Residents address their past behaviour patterns which have contributed to their chaotic substance misuse and life style and learn new coping strategies. The self help concept of the programme works
on positive change and self exploration.
In our services, residents take responsibility for their behaviour and that of their peers. We provide a full and structured timetable of group and one to one work to address their behaviour and thinking.
Residents are given roles and responsibilities for cooking, cleaning and gardening.
We provide a comprehensive therapeutic rehabilitation programme through group and one to one work, including brief intervention approaches, such as Motivational Interviewing.
The Community is fully supported by a highly skilled and professional staff team.
Tailored to individual needs
We recognise that each resident will have different needs and on admission an individual care plan is developed. Our rehabilitation programme is a staged process tailored to individual needs.
Drug and alcohol problems are only part of the challenge for our residents and our programme concentrates on life skills and education to sustain long-term recovery and social reintegration on leaving the service.
Our supportive staff team provide assistance with practical issues and life skills such as housing, employment and establishing sustainable community support networks.
