North & North East Hampshire Tier 2 Service - Aldershot
What do we aim to achieve?
Our skilled staff members work with individuals who have a desire to change their pattern of behaviour and drug use, addressing lifestyle, health, social and criminal justice issues. We will work with our service users to support them in improving their physical and psychological health, as well as how they cope in society. We aim to enable and empower individuals to reintegrate back into their communities.
Who is our service for?
Men and women aged 18+ in the Aldershot area who are concerned about their drug or alcohol use and are looking to make changes to their life. We also welcome families and carers who require advice and information.
How we run the service
We will give you advice and support to help reduce the harm caused by substance misuse. After an initial needs assessment, we will identify potential options for treatment. We will help to motivate and encourage you to make changes in your life.
How does the programme work?
We provide:
A drop-in service
Needle-exchange and advice on harm minimisation, which may include referral to a prescribing service or other appropriate specialist service. An initial needs assessment
Referrals for detox and substitute prescribing via comprehensive assessments at local Tier 3 services
Referrals for psychosocial interventions (CARE counselling) and Structured Day Service groups via comprehensive assessments at local Tier 3 services
Aftercare
Group work
1-1 brief interventions (short duration key work; goal focus)

Are there any rules?
Drugs or alcohol are not permitted on to our premises. When you start attending groups you will be advised of our group rules. Everyone entering the service will be signed into the daily register. Please aim to arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to opening time or start of a group session to allow staff to be ready to see you.

Friday 10.30 am - 4.30 pm

How do I access the service?
You can drop-in to see us during our regular opening hours and ask to see a worker who will assess how your needs will be best met. You may telephone us for advice and information using the contact details overleaf. Although the premises are not DDA compliant, alternative facilities can be arranged, please speak to a member of staff and they will assist you in this.

Directions
From the M3, exit at junction 4 and continue on to the A331 and exit on to the slip road. Take the fourth exit on the next roundabout on to Ash Road A323, bear right on to the High Street A323, then left on to Windsor Way B3008 and left again on to Arthur Street. Take a right on to Station Road and park at the East station car park, near the railway station. From the railway station, follow Station Road to the left and at the crossroads bear right, number 24 will be to your right.
