Karen Biggs – Chief Executive Karen became the Chief Executive of Phoenix Futures in 2007. She reports directly to the Chair of Board with quarterly board meetings being held to ensure the strategic development of the organisation is achieved. On a day-to-day basis Karen looks after the overall running of Phoenix Futures and Phoenix Futures Scotland, with all Executive Directors reporting to her.Our objective is not to be one of the largest organisations in the sector but rather one of the best. We aim to do this by keeping the needs of our service users at the centre of everything we do.Karen’s achievements with the organisation have been recognised nationally by being awarded with the Leadership Award at the UK Excellence Awards in 2011 and the Best Employer Award at the Third Sector Awards in 2012.
Adele Duncan – Director of Operations England Adele has overall responsibility for our prison, residential and community services in England as well as the Quality and Performance Department and New Business Development. Together with our Heads of Operations and Service Managers they ensure our services are being delivered to the highest standards. We aim to ensure our service models are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the local communities in which they operate. We also deliver added value by working proactively with partner organisations on a local and national basis.
Marion Logan – Director of Operations – Phoenix Futures Scotland Based in our Scottish National Office in Glasgow, Marion is responsible for all our Phoenix Scotland services. These are delivered in prison, residential and community settings across the country. With a strong focus on meeting the often complex needs of the communities in which we work, Marion and the Phoenix Futures Scotland team have developed integrated service models that are highly effective. Our services in Scotland work with a range of like-minded partner organisations and encourage current and past service users to take an active part in designing the services they receive.
Paula Logan – Director of Resources Paula is responsible for Human Resources, Learning and Development , Facilities and Procurement, and Marketing and Communications. Her key objectives, along with Human Resources, are to ensure well trained and motivated staff meet the needs of our service users. Our in-house Learning and Development department stands out within the sector for delivering high quality targeted training programmes throughout the year. We also aim to deliver excellent value for money for funders of our services through our procurement processes. Whilst our Marketing team support our services’ marketing needs.
George Lambis – Director of Finance George looks after the Finance and IT Departments. Both departments are committed to ensuring that we work cost effectively and efficiently as an organisation. This commitment involves constant process review and development. It has enabled us to be a financially viable charity; focused on helping our service users transform their lives as well as the lives of those of their families and communities.
