We are a learning organisation. We are a community of practice with mutual responsibility for learning and developing ourselves and our capabilities. As an organisation, we offer our staff training and development opportunities necessary to fulfil their full potential.
We have a comprehensive training programme which is mapped against DANOS and also an additional 20 relevant occupational standards such as Management Standards and Council for Administration. We also encourage staff to take up local training opportunities.
Staff are made aware of the significant development opportunities via our intranet, quarterly training planners and our internal newsletter Matters Arising.
Alongside an annual rolling programme of training to support key aspects of personal development and a fully comprehensive induction programme. we provide fully funded accredited qualifications:
For staff a level 3 qualification in Drug and Alcohol competencies with accredited with the Open College Network and accreditation and professional registration with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP).
For managers an accredited Management Development Programme through our approved learning centre status leading to an S/NVQ 3 or 4 which gives accreditation with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
We also run regular development events such as our popular annual Discussion Day and Managers’ Conference, as well as local team development initiatives.
Phoenix Futures has its own dedicated Learning and Development department to ensure the continuing professional development of its staff and follows the guidance of the Chartered Instititute of Personal Development (CIPD).
