Drug and Alcohol Workers (Level 3 Programme)
Phoenix Futures has developed and runs an accredited training programme for drugs and alcohol workers called the Core Competency Framework (CCF)
The course is mapped against Drugs and Alcohol National Standards (DANOS) and is accredited by the Open College Network as a Level 3 qualification. It is recognised by the National Treatment Agency and the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP) as a means of demonstrating competence and meeting workforce development targets.

The course comprises the following nine units, which are assessed by means of a portfolio of workplace-based evidence:
- Drug Knowledge
- Alcohol Knowledge
- Assessment and Treatment Options
- Action Planning and Referral
- Counselling and Intervention Skills
- Case Management and Review
- Anti-discriminatory Practice & Information Sharing
- IT Skills and Data Management Systems
- Safer Working Practices
