The Together Project

Image: About_Us/Together_Project_tiny.jpg

The Together Project first began in 2008 as a dance group for female service users in Glasgow. It gradually progressed with the males wanting to be involved and eventually after much effort and determination; "Grease Glesga Style" was born.

The group continued to develop and progress and received funding from the NHS and Glasgow City Council's G.R.A.N.D event to perform to larger audiences.

In 2009, the improvised production "Somewhere Under The Rainbow" proved another great success for the project, receiving positive feedback all round.

2010 has almost been like a fresh start for the project after it received funding from Glasgow Community Planning. With their own premises in Ardoch House, Possil, the project has a drama director, dance choreographer, musician and art worker, as well as invaluable support from Phoenix Futures' staff members.

The project's aim is to be the face of the recovery movement, demonstrating that recovery is possible through its creative, artistic approach. Their vision is to support recovering service users in their future, helping them maintain recovery by exploring their artistic talents and providing exciting opportunities along the way.
