Trafford Community Services

Volunteer Administrator 

As a volunteer Administrator you will work as part of the team in Trafford in assisting the team to support people in recovery. You will provide a wide range of administrative and reception duties and be required to collate, also maintaining databases. The variety of this role means you will also be required to manage diaries, and support the team and service office to operate smoothly. You will have first rate IT, presentation and communication skills, both oral and written and hold or be willing to obtain an ECDL certificate. This position is for 15 hours / two full days.

Central Lancashire

Therapeutic Community Volunteer

HMP Wymott

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to volunteer with us to assist in delivering all aspects of our Therapeutic Community programme with us at HMP Wymott. You will be required to support the staff team and service users of the Therapeutic Community, some of your duties may include, assisting in groups, providing support to service users and staff, helping maintain structure  (challenging negative behaviours, identifying and encouraging positive behaviours.) Good communications skills are essential. Training will be provided (if required) you will also receive ongoing support and supervision from the staff team and TC Management tailored to your individual skills and experience. We can offer flexible times for volunteering depending on your availability.

Volunteer Administration Support

HMP Wymott

Reasonable travel expenses will be paid

Volunteers bring valuable experience to our organisation. They champion the work we do and demonstrate loyalty and commitment to our mission and values. It is also a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community.

We are looking for a Volunteer Administrator to perform a variety of tasks to help with the smooth running of the service within HMP Wymott. This will include assisting in the use of software packages to create documents and correspondence, arranging meetings and also creating and maintaining filing and recording systems. This opportunity will help you gain valuable skills and experience within a prison based office setting.

You should be highly organised, be able to work on your own initiative as well as have the ability to communicate effectively with people inside and outside of the service, with an understanding of confidentiality.

Due to the time spent on the vetting process for the role applicants would need to commit for a minimum of six months and offer a minimum of one day a week, although this would ideally be more.

Wirral Community Service

Volunteer Recovery Through Nature Worker

Our Recovery Through Nature Programme helps people in recovery to reconnect with the natural environment whilst learning new skills and giving something back to society. We have a series of RTN programmes in the Wirral area and require a small pool of enthusiastic, motivated individuals to assist our RTN staff.
