Essex Health and Justice Pathway

The Health & Justice Service, incorporating screening, Force Medical Examiner (FME) and Street Triage services in Essex, came into operation on the 1st April 2018.

This service is an integrated service delivered in partnership by Essex Partnership University Trust (EPUT), Castle Rock Medical Group (CRG) & Phoenix Futures.

CRG asses physical and mental health needs for those in custodial settings and then decide to refer on to either Phoenix Futures for substance misuse support, or EPUT for mental health support..

EPUT deliver a specialist mental health service and street triage.

Phoenix Futures refer adults onto our Full Circle service in Essex for support, whereas juveniles may be referred to more specialist groups for individual treatment. Youths will be fully supported with their individual treatment needs. Phoenix are also responsible for supporting the voluntary attendance (VA) scheme in partnership with the Essex Police

We continue to build and maintain relationships with appropriate partnership agencies in Essex, Southend and Thurrock, so adults and young people can be seamlessly transferred to the relevant service in the community for advocacy and support.
