Phoenix is happy to announce we are now welcoming canine residents into our Hampshire residential service.

The rehab in Droxford is the second Phoenix service to open a block of kennels to give people with dogs the opportunity to receive treatment for addiction without having to give up their pet.

The first Phoenix kennels were opened in the Wirral Residential Service earlier this year after a number of people explained that having to be separated from their dogs was a major barrier to accessing treatment.

Our Chief Executive, Karen Biggs, said:

“We are thrilled to be opening our second Phoenix Futures kennels at our Hampshire Residential service. We’re all really excited that following the success of the kennels in the Wirral, we have now been able to open a second lot in Hampshire and hope it will save many people and animals the heartache and stress of being separated.”

Our Hampshire Residential team is now accepting referrals from people with drug and alcohol problems (and their dogs). All dogs will be cared for in a safe and appropriate environment by their owners, trained professionals, and other people in treatment at the service.

We will be officially launching our new kennels on Wednesday 25th November with an open day at the service.
