What does working at Phoenix mean to me?

Why Work With Us?

  • Purpose-Driven Work: You'll be part of a charity with over 50 years of experience supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use.
  • Supportive Team Culture: We believe in looking after each other, just as much as we look after the people who use our services.
  • Opportunities to Grow: We invest in our staff through training, development pathways, and opportunities to take on new challenges.
  • Lived Experience Matters: Many of our team have their own recovery stories, and we celebrate the value that lived experience brings.

Values-based recruitment

At Phoenix, we use values-based recruitment to ensure that the people who join our team bring the right skills and share our commitment to our values.

For us, values-based recruitment is about building a workforce that genuinely believes in the strengths and potential of the people we support. It helps us create environments where people feel heard, safe, and empowered—whether accessing our services or working within them.

By prioritising values in recruitment, we also strengthen our organisational culture, improve staff retention, and foster teams that are motivated by purpose, not just process. It’s how we maintain integrity in everything we do—and how we make a lasting impact in people’s lives.
