Our 2017-2020 ‘Confident about Recovery’ strategy defined our approach to ensuring everyone in society is confident about recovery, so that we all work collectively towards a recovery-friendly society.
As a charity we want to have a positive impact on the environment in which we all work and live, so that everyone can make the most of their potential in life.
There are three areas of our society where we aim to have an impact. These are -
The social environment - tackling stigma faced by people affected by addiction, for the benefit of all society.
People in addiction and recovery should be able to access effective treatment and the resources required to reduce the harm of addiction and aid their long-term recovery.
Sharing insight into the lives of people who have lived experience of addiction and recovery creates greater understanding.
A more knowledgeable society makes better decisions
The policy environment – ensuring people affected by addiction have fair access to the resources they need to achieve their potential
The voices of people who are directly affected by policy decisions should be considered in the creation of policy.
This will ensure both local and national policy is more effective.
The ecological environment – ensuring we play our part in limiting our negative impact on the environment and maximising our positive impact.
In addition to limiting the negative impact our activities have on the environment we wish to maximise our positive impact through our Phoenix Forest and Recovery through Nature activities
